Silver

Sterling silver tarnishes to varying degrees when exposed to water, air, sweat, chlorine and other chemicals for prolonged periods. Keeping your piece dry and storing it in an airtight container when not in use is highly recommended. If it becomes tarnished, a silver cleaning polishing cloth or silver cleaning solution will help. If your silver piece is in need of a deeper clean, I am happy to provide this complimentary service excluding postage.

Gold

If shopping from my readymade pieces, you will find gold-plated items more than full gold. Gold-plated silver has been hard-plate coated with yellow gold. This coating will wear off over time, however, its longevity is significantly improved when taking the right precautions. Storing your gold-plated silver item wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in an airtight container when not in use is highly recommended. Avoiding prolonged exposure to sweat, water and harsh chemicals will also help to preserve the gold-plating. If your plating has significantly worn off over time, I am happy to provide a re-plating service from 50 € depending on the item excluding postage.

Freshwater pearls

Pearls are organic gemstones that are vulnerable to acid, alkaline and extremes of humidity. To preserve your pearls’ radiance, avoid letting them come into contact with cosmetics, hair spray, or perfume. Always put on your jewelry as a final touch, after applying make-up and styling hair.
The pearl’s lustre can also be harmed by perspiration. To prevent this, before returning your pearls to the jewelry box, wipe them gently with a soft cloth.

Gemstones

Gemstones respond best to gentle wear as they risk being chipped from forceful contact or when dropped on hard surfaces. To maintain the sparkle of your gemstones at home, try some delicate dish soap and gently brush using a toothbrush and warm water. For a more thorough cleanse, I am happy to provide this complimentary service excluding postage.
